This Active Listening Course actually did wonders for me: https://www.udemy.com/course/active-listening/
It's only 30 minutes long but teaches you a basic framework of how to think about the different levels of how engaged you are in what the other person as saying, as well concrete tactics (like restating what the other person said for example).
I have ADHD and could never focus on what anyone was saying ever. But with meds and that course and lots of practice listening to people I've become a great active listener.
