I need some advice on asp.net and .net
After doing some search, I found out there is a good demand of jobs for .net developers in my country. I have a degree in computer programming and I have an okay grasp in C# and would like to invest my time into learning more about c# along with asp.net.
I however have a few questions. So I know asp.net is for web applications and .net is a framework where you use asp.net on top of it.
Now I'm getting lost is with .net core, asp.net mvc and then I see core 3.0, 3.1 and such. I also see mvc 5 and all that. Could someone make sense of all this? I'm more keen in the backed workings of development. What kind of database can I use for asp.net? Do I need to use SQL Server (from ms) to store data or is there something within visual studio that I can connect and setup?
Personally I would be grateful if someone could provide me some courses I can buy from udemy and such to study this and follow and learn as I go. I feel a bit overwhelmed and I'm horrible at finding material to study cause I feel like they might be out dated. Any recommendations of a course I can partake in?
