I'm halfway through this course and it's been incredibly helpful in actually understanding the basic tools in blender instead of just mucking about with them.

I can highly recommend it.

Adding onto this, he also now has a really in depth character creation tutorial course on Udemy.

He goes over sculpting, retopology, baking, hand-painting textures, etc. I'm about 3/4 of the way through and it has absolutely been worth the $11.99 I paid for it, (grab it at the end/beginning of a month for a discount).

I'm currently in the process of doing this course Blender Character Creator v2.0 for Video Games Design | Udemy on Udemy

The YouTube videos were and are great when I was just starting but this course helps a lot with keyboard shortcuts as well as features and bits that I didn't even know you could (like merging vertices) and wouldn't have thought of.

Karakter design? Marmint 3d Modellezes?

/napi motivacio 9000/

About the animations and the steps for going from blender to unity you can check these courses (not really low poly style but Imphenzia mentioned before has that covered).

Thank you! I really noticed that some people who commented on this thread of mine focused on the "art as a career" part. They totally missed the point.

Yeah I noticed too that people who post here are those with art as a career. And it sucks that ordinary people who do it as a hobby or sideline job don't post as much.

That's great! Also, I recommend your coworker to do these courses. I cannot recommend these enough as they are really great and we also have an FB group known as Blender Course Community where people struggling would easily get help and/or criticism should they ask for it:

\^Those courses taught me the fundamentals that I needed to know to get started. Admittedly, I haven't finished them since I also wanted to do my own personal projects and I had some personal problems lately and being addicted to Minecraft. Hahahaha!

Anyways if I may ask, what do you do for work and have you ever found any other workmates that are into art? Just curious to know.
