u/pfcypress sorry for my reply and also my information (about) the price for this course was not accurate; actually, the course was around 15$ (1300-1600 JPY in my case, can't remember the exact price).

You should wait for the discount before you buy, don't buy it at the full price. Udemy usually gives me a discount offer, it gives me the discount price so often that makes me think buying at the full price is something unusual, lol. Below is the link to the course:

Definitely memorize the acronyms, but I don't remember the security plus exam containing too much detail in the way of diagrams/models/procedures work. Just to know what they are and how they are associated with various things. Eg: Network scanners such as nmap are used to find network based vulnerabilities such as open ports

My study guide was https://www.udemy.com/course/comptia-security-certification-sy0-501-the-total-course/

That's it and I passed with a score in the low 800s, i don't remember what specifically.

I’m brand new to all of this, especially pen testing and ethical hacking. I believe SOME of these course will help you out with starting and learning what Linux is all about and Kali Linux, as well. I included everything I’m doing to become a self-taught pen tester, but if you just want stuff for Kali Linux and Linux in general, just go to my number 4. Obviously this isn’t everything that I’ll be doing to become a pen tester, but it’s my starting point.

I am taking several courses like I would at a typical college:

1) Network+ to get a foundation with networking (I will try to get certified, as well.)

2) Security+ to get a foundation with network and other types of security (Certification, as well)

3) Basic coding and knowing the foundations of how web applications, software, etc. work in the background. I chose python as my OOP:
