This might be helpful! Haven't tried it myself but looks like it contains a lot of good info on principles :)

Can you spare $15? Well actually I torrented it from piratebay. You can do that too, but this program is well worth the money.

It's pretty long, I guess thats good, but I learned a TON. I highly recommend it. Although, this is mostly for design only.

so i took a udemy course a few months ago on web design. it turns out you don't really need to have artistic talent in order to make a minimally appealing front end. a lot of it's just psychology. visual balance (i.e. it shouldn't feel like one side of the page is "heavier" than the other), repetition, structure that makes it easy for eyes to know where to start and move, etc. color scheme and font appropriate for the usage (no bright flashy colors for inventory management systems, no comic sans in anything intended for people over the age of like 5). good design makes it easy for users to do what they come to your site to do.

after this course i'll grant i'm only mediocre at best as a designer. if you or i wanted to make things that were straight up pretty and modern looking it would take a lot of practice. looking at websites that are already applauded for being beautiful and really figuring out why, and copying them until we understand the principles. you or i might just be shit out of luck if we had to be able to make things that were glamorous in appearance.

Sure thing.

The above link is a great course that is just on the fundamentals of design. There is great value here.

Logos by Nick has a course on logo design that is really good too. Here's the link: https://logosbynick.com/learn/

It's $17 and well worth the price. He delivers a ton of value, even if you're not a logo designer.
