I would recommend Udemy; which has TONS of courses for drawing if you are just starting out. Also it is pretty inexpensive. I would probably start with this one?

Thanks for your reply. I'm basically completely new to this, so I would probably want to explore some basics before I can go on to develop a style. Basics like shape drawing, etc. This was a course recommended to me by a friend: https://www.udemy.com/course/drawing-and-sketching-for-beginners/ I'd be sure to check out the youtube channels you recommended as well.

I've made the journey from "I can't draw a stick person" to being able to produce decent basic art in a cartoon style. I'm not an expert by any means. Having said all that, I'm not sure why you want to run out and buy an iPad when you have no prior experience. Any art you might be drooling over from this sub wasn't made because the tools were awesome, they were made because the artist was awesome. It's not 100% true, but basically if you can't produce it with pencil and paper, you won't be able to made on an iPad with software either.

The cheapest iPad costs $329. 500 sheets of paper costs $5.99 on Amazon, a huge pack of mechanical pencils costs $4.99, and a pack of great colored pencils (which you won't need because you don't have anything to color yet) can be had for $19.99. You like stickers and stationary, but do you like drawing, painting, or design work? You can find that out for $11 and a bit of your time.

You cannot skip the fundamentals of drawing. Well, maybe there is a different set of fundamentals for painting but I wouldn't know about that. Even if what you ultimately want to do is vector art (stuff like logos or those really clean, smooth designs you see) where you don't have to draw in the program to make stuff, you still need to understand form, light and shadow, composition, etc. And if you want to create more complex illustrations, that'll probably boil down to tracing a drawing...which you won't have if you can't draw.

Everybody recommends Draw a Box: https://drawabox.com/. Personally, that didn't work for me at all. What worked was this course from Udemy:

It's on sale through midnight (along with everything else, if you happen to find a drawing course you like better). I also bought some of those how to draw books from Amazon for inspiration and some extra practice.

I hope you find something that works for you! Good luck!
