  1. I recommend learning proper technique so you don't damage your voice, which I've done and it's not fun. It's fun sometimes to push your voice as hard as you can but it's easy to blow it out that way, and sometimes I do that when I shouldn't. I'm still learning but this course by Draven Gray and Robert Lunte has helped me more than anything: https://www.udemy.com/course/extreme-singing
  2. He hit me up on instagram with a new track he wanted vocals on but it was so far out of my genre zone that I almost had to turn it down. Then I was like fuck it, scream time. I recorded some vocal lines and creepy synths over his production and we had it done in about a week. Very nice dude, he's one of my good friends now and we plan on making more stuff together in the future.
  3. Patience, honestly.. and developing an ear for what sounds good mix-wise contrasted with other good mixes.
