Please critique my plan to get into web dev

I'm hoping someone can critique my next steps to get into web dev. I hope to get my first web dev job as soon as I'm ready instead of going overboard and spending more time learning than necessary. I'll aim for full stuck but will be just as happy to get a job in front end or back end.

Quick summary of my current background: currently a mechanical engineer with Masters in ME. My recent "experience" is making programs to automate design and generate reports (C# .NET Framework, python, MS SQL). Many years ago I wrote a PHP wordpress plugin for SEO. I took an accelerated MOOC on Data Structures & Algorithms (using C++). I've been practicing with git. I use OOP regularly and feel I understand it.

Now I'm ready for my next steps. I'd like to know if any of these seem like a good next step:

Option 1: I'm considering this Full Stack Web Developer Nanodegree (https://www.udacity.com/course/full-stack-web-developer-nanodegree--nd0044) which teaches these:

SQLAlchemy,ORM,AJAX,fetch,JSON,python,Flask,CRUD,Alembic,HTTP,CORS,REST,unittest,JWT,git,RBAC,Docker,AWS

This seems to cover a huge chunk of things I'm seeing in job searches. One thing I'm not sure of is: will I need to know all those things just to get my foot in the door? or would I be perfectly fine just knowing HTML,CSS,javascript? Or do I still have a long way to go after the nanodegree to get my first job?

Option 2: An alternate would be to take this cheaper/faster udemy course: https://www.udemy.com/course/full-stack-web-development-for-beginners/. But then I'm not sure of the quality of that course. If they just briefly mention each technology then it would be a waste since I can accomplish an overview of the technologies with a google search.

Option 3: a 3rd alternative is to just learn all these technologies on my own from google,youtube,etc but I'll probably have some big gaps in my knowledge if I do that (even if I know enough to build good looking dynamic multi-platform websites). Also if this approach takes longer, then I'd prefer to just pay the money to learn what I need faster.

After one of the 3 options above I'd build a project to build up my portfolio. Then my last step is to prepare for the job (interview practice, leetcode,update resume, etc). Any advice I can get would be appreciated! Has anyone on here ever hired someone with a nanodegree or gotten a job with a nanodegree recently?
