>I also understand why you use IE, perhaps because it is static, not many changes / updates to it so your codes / scripts work always

Well, that's kind of a running joke because back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth IE6 came into existence to be the most beloved piece of software ever, just to became the most hated of all time. Unfortunately subsequent versions carried out the legacy of terror. It really was a PITA to make everything smooth when IE was involved lots of hacky stuff and double/triple work.

Now that is officially defunct is like saying "mobile phone without cords". I mean, is the maximum degree of self-inflicted pain a web developer could do. I did it for the LOLz and because is still a good parameter, if it works in IE will work in the browser embedded in your smart LED bulb in the ceiling xD

Now, the CHM of the AHK is a really good source of the nitty gritty but as for programming concepts in general it kinda relies in you have them already. I've seen a lot of free online courses, what you need is the basics of how and when iterate trough stuff, what are conditionals, what objects are, what are data types and stuff like that.

At this point anything language agnostic is good as it will serve to provide a starting point, keep it casual and don't fall into the rabbit's hole of compilers and holy wars about specific languages. Scripting (as AHK) is a neat starting point.

This seem nice (sites like Udemy always have free trial buried deep, you just need to find it):

Aside from that in this very forum there are users that invest their time trying to motivate others to learn, that slips a little trough my fingers since I don't have the time now, also I'm a little old and kind of already got covered the basics, plus I'm everything but a good teacher.

Keep learning my friend, if you ever need something just ask away and chances are I'll be in the heard, also thanks for your words :)
