MS-900 Passed August 2020 Advised and Study Prep
Another I passed thread. I scored 808 with a Passing Score of 700.
I have roughly 1.5 Years Experience working with Microsoft 365 Products specifically Office 365, Teams, Sharepoint, Exchange Online and the 365 Admin Center.
Why take this exam? I took it because I was looking to transition jobs and I also wanted to have a firm grasp of the 365 Services.
Notes about the PV Test Center As for as covid concerns all was done well, 6 Feet Distance, Hand Sanitizer in each area etc. Yes you must wear a mask during your time in the test center.
One thing that I found interesting they have implemented to stop cheaters and brain dumpers. They have a tray on which you have to set your Eyeglasses. So that they can be checked for cameras etc.
The Exam: I supposed to be up to 60 Questions with 90 Minutes Test Time. I received 40 Questions and 60 minutes.
The Test format was Multiple Choice, Drag and Drop and True or False (In this format it was yes or no)
No simulations and for once only 2 of the Questions were terribly worded.
This is what I used to study
This course is ok, gives a fast overview of most of the subject matter. Don't rely on on this.
The [Pakt Study Guide]https://www.amazon.com/dp/1838982175/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_q-grFbWGAYZTA)
The guy filled in a lot of information that was missing from the Udemy Course and in more detail.
I did use VladTalskTech As a reference point, many of his links are broken but it pointed me toward the most useful material
Which is Microsoft Docs Specifically the learning area, sort by M365 on the left. This will provide most of the current information you'll need to know and understand for the exam. In addition there are simulation sections where in they walk you through setting up Content Policy etc. Highly recommended.
My general advise is the same as you'll get from every other professional on here, check the objectives, learn the objectives. Make sure you have a good understanding of each domain, especially licensing and features not just E3 & E5 but A1, A3, A5, F1, F3 etc.
Be aware of what most if not all of the functions and applications within 365 are for and get a little familiar with Teams if you have not.
Yes there were questions related to Dynamics 365 and Power Apps (Power Bi) but only as so far as identifying them and their usage.
Again they likely will not ask you to configure a Phishing Policy but it is good to know that you can and where you can.
Best of Luck, on to the MS-100 etc.
