Troubleshooting is the important skill here. This can be simply pattern matching in many cases. Especially at the high levels in tech. Nobody knows what they're doing or how everything works and it becomes "I think this is happening because of this other time this similar thing kinda happened."
I might be a shill for big network, but I find it's easier to get into than programming and generally one of those "dark arts" that not a ton of people know well. Might be worth picking up a CCNA course cheaply to watch through it. Or use Udemy for other tech videos. Not all are perfect, but they are decent.
