if you cant design you will be limited in using your 3d printer . You have to rely on other peoples 3d models to print . The feeling of designing something on computer than hold it your hand is something else.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) software is expensive , getting a good one that is user friendly is a bit of a challenge.

i watched the first couple of videos ,they are free to preview, and the guy know what he is talking about.
