Let me start by saying Airflow is a amazing tool like any other pipeline orchestrate and its a good read hence do give it a shot just reading about it .

Well Q1,Q2 never have a short answer they are subjective hence won't comment on it.
Q3 I would say if you can spend let's say 8 hours in a week then that shall be enough to give a over view on airflow.
