OP - do you actually have an interest in the field, or are you simply looking at it because tech is hot?

As a few other folks have mentioned, bootcamps like this are very much sink-or-swim. If you don't "get" the concepts, you're going to be left in the dust and will have burned a ton of money.

Starting out with something like Udemy courses in your areas of interest to see if you have, or can build, aptitude for the subject would be a great place to start before diving headfirst into a bootcamp.

I'll also note, having attempted it, if you can't find the discipline to stick with a cheap/self-paced setup like Udemy, you'll likely have a hard time in a bootcamp as well.

Lastly, most bootcamps are not really feasible to do while also working, as they tend to be very short (several weeks to a month) and require as much, or more, time spent outside of the course content as in it.

As an off-the-cuff recommendation, given the nature of the bootcamp you linked, you may want to try out https://www.udemy.com/course/the-complete-ruby-on-rails-developer-course/. I've completed it, and if you can snag it for (the near constant discount price of) $20 it's well worth it and you'll both learn a lot and have some projects to build off of/use for a portfolio.

You should take this course from udemy its only $9.99 right now and maybe if you have a coupon code you can get more of a discount. The instructor is very good and you get to build 9 projects. They even keep the course updated and make notes in the video indicating if something is wrong or outdated. https://www.udemy.com/course/the-complete-ruby-on-rails-developer-course/

ruby does seem much more appealing to me though, of course that is totally based on rails though, without rails I don't know much about ruby the language itself..I did purchase this course years ago and I am thinking about working through it but once again I am paranoid that it is outdated https://www.udemy.com/course/the-complete-ruby-on-rails-developer-course/
