This is the course. I bought this for 10$ in November and I studied. I can say that this course is awesome for beginners. If you won't buy it, message me your email. I will send you videos tomorrow.

What I usually do before buying a course on Udemy (or anything for that matter) is first look at the 1,2 and 3 star reviews to see what people actually think of the course and what could have been done better.

I then look through the course summary and see if there are any categories that interest me.

Then I look to see when the course was last updated (things tend to change quite a bit in this industry so I try to stay away from courses that haven't been updated in years.)

At the moment I am going through this course: https://www.udemy.com/course/unityroguelike/ (And highly recommend the instructor.) As a beginner myself, I've found it helpful but I can see a few things that a more advanced programmer may do differently than him. But nonetheless, gets the point across clearly.

I have the 2D course you are talking about and I'd say it's a solid starting point for the price. Also, keep in mind that basically all Udemy courses are refundable for 30 days (IIRC) so if you don't like where a course is going you can expect a speedy, no hassle refund.

Hope this helps, good luck. And for when you're pulling your hair out, thinking of quitting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYzMYcUty6s
